Daikin became the world's first company to succeed in applying R32 to air conditioners by leveraging its expertise as the only manufacturer that develops and manufactures both air conditioners and refrigerants.
Since 2015, Daikin Industries Ltd has provided worldwide free access to 93 patents that aim to support air conditioning manufacturers transition to using R32 refrigerant. Compared to the commonly used R410A, R32 has a 66% lower ‘Global Warming Potential Factor’ which provides less risk of harm to the environment. *
To date, Daikin has sold over 21 million units utilising R32 in more than 70 countries including Australia.
