What do the symbols on my controller mean?

What do the symbols on my controller mean?


Cool, Heat, Vent, Fan, Dry or Auto


The words “Cool”, “Heat”, “Vent”, “Fan”, “Dry” or “Auto” are displayed to present the Operation Mode.




The Airflow Rate (Airflow level/Fan Speed) symbol is displayed to show the airflow rate that is set for the indoor unit. The airflow rate will not be displayed if the indoor unit does not have the airflow rate control function.




Airflow Direction is displayed when the airflow direction swings are set. This icon is not displayed if the indoor unit does not have a function to set airflow directions.

Set Temperature is displayed when the air conditioner is turned on. “Set to” indicates the set temperature that are set for the air conditioner.


When the air conditioner is turned off, “Setback” will appear and indicates the setback temperatures that are set for the air conditioner.




The Defrost/Hot start symbols are displayed when this operation is active.

Messages


“This function is not available”

This message is displayed for a few seconds when an operation button is pressed, and the indoor unit does not have the corresponding function.

If a few indoor units are in operation, the message will appear only if none of the indoor units have the corresponding function, i.e. the message will not appear if at least one indoor unit has the corresponding function.

“Error: Push Menu button” and “Warning: Push Menu button”

Are displayed if an error or warning is detected. In this case please contact, https://www.daikin.com.au/contact-daikin for technical support.


“Quick Start” (Split systems only)

This message is displayed if the quick cooling/heating function is turned on.


“Time to clean filter”, Time to clean element” and “Time to clean filter and element”


These messages are displayed when your air conditioner requires a filter or element clean. For ‘How to’ clean your Daikin filter videos (Split systems only) visit , our YouTube Channel, or contact your local Daikin Specialist Dealer for a service quote.



(Automatic)


The Ventilation/Air Purifying symbol is displayed when a Heat Reclaim Ventilator is connected.



These icons (Energy Reclaim and Bypass) indicate the current ventilation mode (Heat Reclaim Ventilator only).





The Air Purifying Icon indicates that the Air Purifying unit (optional accessory) is in operation.




The key symbol indicates that the key lock is set.




This symbol is displayed to indicate the Schedule Timer or OFF Timer is enabled



The Centralised Control is displayed if the system is under the management of centralized control equipment (optional accessories) and the remote operation of the system through the remote controller is prohibited.




The Changeover Under Control (VRV only) is displayed if the remote controller has no cool/heat selection eligibility.




The Setback symbol appears when the air conditioner is turned on under the setback control.




The clock displays 12/24 hour time and is displayed when the clock is set.




The Timer Disabled/Reset Clock symbol is displayed when the clock needs to be reset. The Schedule Timer function will not work unless the clock is reset.
