Your role in shaping the future:


Are you ready to lead and make an impact? As National Sales Manager – Applied, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Daikin’s Applied Solutions Business. This is your opportunity to drive growth, inspire innovation, and lead a high-performing team to new heights.


Based at our Head Office in NSW, you will be responsible for developing and executing national sales strategies for indirect sales channels, managing a team of Regional Sales Managers, and building strong relationships with key customer accounts, channel partners, contractors, and consultants.


We’re looking for a dynamic leader with:

  • A deep understanding of the HVAC industry and applied solutions.

  • Proven experience in managing sales teams and achieving ambitious targets.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive national indirect sales strategy aligned with company objectives.

  • Lead and manage a team of Regional Sales Managers, providing guidance, coaching, and motivation to drive performance.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and channel partners.

  • Oversee the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring efficient execution.

  • Develop a deep understanding of Daikin’s applied product offerings, including technical specifications and benefits.

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets, and track performance against targets.

  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct reviews.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, and operations to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.

To be successful in this role:

  • This role is based at our Head Office in Chipping Norton, Sydney NSW.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire high-performing teams.

  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation and ability to develop innovative growth strategies.

  • Extensive experience in the HVAC industry, with advanced knowledge of applied technology -particularly chilled water applications, chillers, and airside solutions.

  • Minimum 10 years in technical territory sales/business development.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to implement effective solutions.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

  • Background in sales and project management, with the ability to influence and perform under pressure in a target-driven environment.

  • A creative approach to problem-solving and a passion for exploring new opportunities.

Assessment:


Candidates will be required to deliver a short 10-minute presentation on topics such as:

  • Innovative Sales Strategies for the Applied Market

  • Overcoming Challenges in the Applied HVAC Industry
