Daikin’s new range of Air Purifiers with Streamer Technology are designed to capture, suppress and break down pollutants such as mould, pollen, allergens, odours, formaldehyde, traffic pollution and dust.
Daikin Air Purifiers with Streamer Technology have been proven to remove more than 99.99% of Coronavirus HCoV-229E, of the same family as the COVID-19 causing virus SARS-CoV-2, and Influenza A (H1N1), the virus that causes the common flu, in as little as 30 minutes.
Swiss multi-national testing and certification company, SGS, confirmed these findings based on their independent testing which featured the Daikin Air Purifier model MC55YPVM operating in a 10m³ chamber in Turbo mode.
The effectiveness of the Daikin Air Purifiers is achieved through a combination of the high performance electrostatic HEPA filter, which traps the virus, followed by an intense exposure to Daikin’s patented Streamer technology, which removes the virus.
