Daikin air conditioners are exclusively available from a Daikin Specialist Dealer.  Daikin Specialist Dealers are air conditioning experts with high levels of skill, experience and product knowledge that you won’t find in a retail store. They can come to your home to assess your unique requirements, provide expert advice, and manage the entire process for you, from quotation to after sales service.  To find your nearest Daikin Specialist Dealer, call 1300 368 300.

Every home is different, and the right air conditioner will depend on many factors, such as room orientation, window size and ceiling insulation to name a few.  It’s an important decision to get right, as an air conditioner that’s too small won’t adequately heat or cool your home, but one that’s too large will be inefficient and expensive to run.  Your Daikin Specialist Dealer is an air conditioning expert, and has the knowledge, skills and experience to help you make the right choice.

Energy efficiency is an important factor when purchasing an air conditioner.
Daikin are air conditioning specialists, and invest heavily in research and development to continuously improve energy efficiency.  Efficient, computer designed air control surfaces, proprietary inverter technology and intelligent eye sensors are just some of the factors which make Daikin air conditioners energy efficient.
Choosing the right air conditioner and having it professionally installed is the best way to provide energy efficient heating and cooling for your home.
An air conditioner that’s too small will require excessive energy to heat/cool your home. Too big, and you will pay more in electricity than you should.
A Daikin Specialist Dealer will help you select the most energy efficient option for your home.

Daikin designs and manufactures all our ducted indoor air conditioning units locally (with the exception of the FDXS series).  Our state of the art manufacturing facility, customer service teams, warehousing and call centre are all right here in Australia, providing employment opportunities for local people. So you can be sure when you call Daikin, you are speaking to someone locally, and when you buy Daikin, you’re supporting the local economy.

An air conditioner is a significant investment, so reliability is a key concern.  Daikin air conditioners are built to a high quality, with strict quality control standards.  Daikin offers a 5-year warranty on all domestic products purchased and installed in Australia.  That’s how confident Daikin is about the quality and reliability of our products.

Daikin takes pride in providing its customers with effective and efficient after sales service support, including readily available spare parts warehoused right here in Australia for fast delivery.  Daikin also has a large, experienced team of fully qualified technicians, and a nation-wide network of authorised service agents who know your air conditioner inside and out.

In any field, experience and expertise count.  Daikin only do one thing – air conditioning, and we have been doing it in Australia for over 40 years, so you know the comfort of your family is in the right hands.

As a general rule, you should clean your air filter when the filter light flashes, but this will vary depending on the air quality in your home and other environmental factors – in more dusty or polluted environments you should clean your filters more regularly. As a rule of thumb, you should clean your filters once every season in a normal domestic environment, and once a month for commercial applications.

Once you’ve cleaned your air filter, press the Reset button to turn off the filter light.  On wall mounted split systems and floor consoles, remove the grille to find the reset button.  For ducted, light commercial and commercial air conditioners, the reset button is located on your controller.

It is OK to turn the power off, especially if you are away for long periods.  Most Daikin air conditioner outdoor units have a low wattage crankcase heater that keeps the compressor warm.  If the compressor is cold, damage may occur at startup, so if you turn off your air conditioner at the powerpoint or fusebox it must be turned on again at least 12 hours before use.

Daikin ducted air conditioners can be designed so that different parts of the house (zones) can be air conditioned independently.  Chances are your air conditioner is set to climate control one zone.  Check to see if the zone switch is turned on – refer to your Daikin Operation Manual for instructions – and adjust your zone configuration as necessary.  If you require further assistance, contact Daikin Customer Support on 1300 362 438.

Your air conditioner may require technical assistance.  Please contact the Daikin Specialist Dealer who installed it for you, or call Daikin Australia on 1300 362 438 for assistance.

Daikin Split System air conditioners are approved by the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice program. Daikin Split System Air Conditioners feature air purifying filters that not only trap most microscopic airborne particles, but also help to decompose odors and absorb and deactivate bacteria and viruses.

It is OK to turn the power off, especially if you are away for long periods.  Most Daikin heat pump outdoor units have a low wattage crankcase heater that keeps the compressor warm.  If the compressor is cold, damage may occur at startup, so if you turn off your heat pump at the powerpoint or fusebox it must be turned on again at least 12 hours before use.
